Café Breton
last night, we had a "get together" dinner at trinoma. i didn't even bother asking where exactly until later that day. anyway, they're talking about going to this place called ruby tues (didn't even heard of that). but, after em consulting cris on the place, she was told that it was quite pricey and the serving's small. she was also asked what's the consideration in choosing the place. em said, somewhere you'd try once. so, ruby teus it was, just for the sake of trying, right? but, along the way (we left office super later than supposed to be and were caught in traffic) the other 3 we're meeting suggested we dine at cafe briton instead. ok. when we arrived, i found the place super nice. it was cozy and the ambiance is really nice, especially the place chosen by our group which was at this "hidden" side of the place. super privacy for us especially we were goofing around, laughing and taking pictures and all. then the food, i really had the hardest time of all deciding on what to order. the menu basically have sandwiches and crepes! how am i supposed to tame my growling stomach? haha... after tossing and turning the menu, i finally settle on go-fish sandwich (salmon over eggs sandwich). and later on shared an order of "la pinay" crepe as suggested by larnz & lei. my verdict: won't go back there again! haha... why? i find it over-priced and not at all satisfying nor filling. the sandwich, when it was served, my first instinct was, where's the fish!? so, i took the knife and tossed the eggs looking for the fish, only to later on (after several seconds) realized that those reddish pinking thing above the eggs were the super thinly sliced salmon! haha... i really thought those were just tomotoes as added decorations... and there's just hmmm, maybe 5 super small thin slices of it, that's all? and they're raw! i don't eat raw (like those sushi stuff, eeeewwww!) but, i had to settle my hunger then so i ate them "closed eye/mind" ignoring the idea of them being raw. and the eggs... i don't even understand how it was prepared. they were mushy, gooey and everything so un-egg-like! then the crepe, it was ok, nothing spectacular. good thing was it's generously filled with mangoes. haha... price-wise, haven't got any to compare it with, so, it'll have to be ok for now.
