haha... finally! yesterday i bought my copy of the Belle de Jour 2009 Power Planner.. my sister and i first went to powerbooks glorietta branch but it was already soldout, but was informed that their greenbelt branch still has stocks, so off we went... hehe...and guess what, they do have , like more than 5 copies still.. why not share some to the other branch? hehe.. anyway, that's not my problem anymore.. ah! and it was my first time to go to powerbooks greenbelt.. hehe.. it's soooo nice... hehe.. so many books and wide space to move around, unfortunately i wasn't even to check out the whole place because we just went there for the planner.. hehe.. next time i'll stay much longer there... hehe..
now, the planner... i like it... although until now i still haven't used it yet (to list the birthdays, etc...) My sister bought the Cosmopolitan planner (it was cheaper, hehe and she liked also it being colorful). But when she opened her copy and flipped the pages of the planner, she was not so happy after all. It was all because she found out that the planner indicated celebrities' birthdays on their respective birthdate! haha... even i would be furious. who cares if it's so and so celebrity's birthday? oh well, but that's expected with the planner being produced by cosmopolitan which is a magazine who of course earn with anything related to fashion, celebrities and the likes! hehe...

Planner Dilemma
wow... it's been soooo long since my last post... hehe.... obviously i'm struck again by my super laziness.... of course i've got stories to tell but just wasn't able to push myself to write.. tsktsk.. too bad, wasn't able to write down those stuff.. hehe...
anyway, since new year's coming soon, i've been on the look-out for a new planner. before, we usually have planners bought from hk or china since they usually have those cute little planner which i wonder why we don't have locally. but this year, too bad for us coz there's none for us to use...
so, i looked around the bookstores and found some interesting ones over at powerbooks. one was the Belle de Jour Power Planner (but it costs 598 pesos, although so far this is my top pick coz of the nice design inside, discount coupons and larger spaces to write) and the other was the Cosmopolitan planner (200 pesos only! the cheapest by far but it's nice and colore, hehe, but the spaces are a little bit smaller than the BDJ). and then there's this nice planner i've seen in the newspaper which i've searched over the internet for their multiply site : the Design Your Life 2009 Planner (399 pesos exclusive of shipping cost, this one's similar to the planner we had bought before but this one's much larger in size and the layout's kind of like the cosmopolotan's)
here's the cover pics of the 3 planners i'm choosing from, have to pick one soon, i'm excited to use them already, hehe..

Divi Trip
earlier, i mean, this afternoon, i was able to "drag" my sister to accompany me to divisoria to buy masquerade mask (not exactly meant for masquerade, but i thought of our group wearing those for our christmas party since the theme this year is shiny and shimmering)
anyway, as expected, traffic was impossible... it was still quite some blocks away and we just decided to walk towards divisoria since the vehicles are not moving anyway. the main problem earlier was that i don't even know where divisoria mall is! haha... and my sister kept asking me how will we go there, i just said let's just walk and ask around... haha...what a brave (i mean stupid idea) haha...
so, we walked, and walked, and walked for like ages and still have no clue where we're going.. and add to that are the so many people everywhere. i just can't help thinking how overly populated we are. and while walking i even felt like stopping and wanting to just head home (just thinking that we've walked quite far already but still nothing, and that we have to walk back again to go home), my feet trembled, and i felt weak... oh well, but then i thought, we've already went that far, might as well finish the task.. hehe,,,
so we walked, and asked around and finally was able to find the shop. yipee! there were some nice masks but of course were quite costly just for a mask.. hehe... anyway, i bought the simplest (and cheapest) kind and we left... then we had to walk back again, just tracing the path we walked earlier,,,, hehe...
and that, ended my "adventure trip" to divisoria... my advice, don't dare having a trip there during christmas season, it's a mad crazy place!

2008 Combank3 Christmas Tag
yesterday, i think i've spent almost all of my morning and afternoon trying to make "the christmas tag" for our group/department. of course, that silly idea was mine, again... hehe... i just like doing silly things and my latest is this: creating the super personalized christmas tag for our group's gifts. last year, i just looked for a simple but cute (that's my major requirement, hehe) picture/drawing over the internet. and the result for my quest was a pic of tinkerbell with a santa hat. very ideal for the season.. hehe...
anyway, this time, i thought of having our group's picture on the christmas tag. at first my idea was having our pic cartoon styled drawn or maybe anime? hehe.. but, of course after trying drawing our faces, i gave up... i just don't know how to draw! hehe.. especially facial features, i suck on drawing eyes. of course i'm talking about eyes, eyes, not just circle type or dot.. and next problem was, i tried looking for our group pic and i wasn't able to find one that has all of us complete on it. so, i asked my officemate, and of course our boss if we could have our pic taken... hehe... of course i came prepared that day.
we then had our "photoshoot" just in our office premises... hehe.. we took several so we could choose and we can't seem to find the perfect pose/spacing between people, etc.. (so troublesom, right? hehe...) anyway, it went well (i think) and i had to choose the perfect picture to use. after careful and intense deliberations on the perfect picture, i went on to trying making my tag... whow! it was hard. since i've no background whatsoever in computer, all i know using was paint... hehe.. and i tried tinkering with the installed software of nero. my officemate suggested having our pic cut and put on a christmas background. well, i liked the idea but i don't know how! i wanted to do that ever since but i know it has to be with the adobe photoshop, which i don't have, and don't know how to use (although, that, i think i could learn, hehe.. i'm learning a lot through self-study, more likely, self-discoveries... hehe ) and then my officemate suggested to ask help from our IT, hehe.. i was so embarrassed asking help because one, they'll see our pic (of course they'll ask which would be me) and, they're among the recipient of the gift with that tag they'll help make.. anyway, after numerous trial and error here's the final artwork... hehe...

note : to those who would be doing something similar to this, i suggest, have your file printed on photopaper. don't even attempt printing on any other type of paper like i did, it won't be a nice one and you'd probably get so frustrated trying again and again getting it right, but it won't and will never.
trust me, based on true to life experience.. hehe....

Frustrated
sunday, my sis and i went to 168 with plan of me buying gift items for my list of recipients.. haha.. anyway, as expected, there's lots of people with the christmas season and being a sunday. but that's ok, we're used to it, besides, it'll be weird if there's less people.. hehe
well, sadly, i only went home frustrated. i wasn't able to find any single gift item. nothing! waaahhh... it's so weird how come there's nothing that fancied me. i don't think my qualifications were that high, there's just too limited items and they're all similar if not the same! grrr...
so, we went home, with (i think much more than supposed to be) clothes, particularly shirts... haha.. it all boiled down to buying and spending all for myself. once again... oh well.... i have to come up with new gift ideas soon. as in soon!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
when we got home, we were able to catch "a love story" on cinema one. too bad we weren't able to start the movie... hehe... anyway, it was a nice one. it's touching in the way that it's easy to relate to maricel's role. falling in love with someone even if you know it's not right (since he's already married with someone else). i think that everyone wants to be with someone who they feel comfortable with, spends time with, and gives them the attention, respect, support and affection they need. aga's role was also understandable, having a so-called wife who is always not home (being a stewardess who most likely is always on call) and falling for someone else who gives him the attention and time he's looking for from a partner and being unappreciated by his own family. but of course, what he did was not right, engaging in a relationship while still tied in another legal one (marriage). angelica's role was more of the typical youth generation, someone who engages in relationship without much hesitation and acts on impulse. but like anyone else who truly loves and doesn't forget that being married means being faithful to your partner. in fairness, even though she was young, she didn't cheat on her husband. but in the movie, her passion for pursuing her career caused her to leave her husband and eventually and unknowingly led her husband looking for another one. i thought that the movie would end with aga being left with no one. but, the ending was aga was still with angelica and their son and they're in the farmhouse that aga was supposed to buy and stay with maricel earlier in the movie. maricel was left being alone. tsktsk....
